ABSTRACT

The exhibition will feature a wide range of paintings and ceramics by both emerging and established artists.

Displaying a variety of abstract art styles, including geometric abstraction, gestural abstraction, and colour field painting.

The artists in the exhibition include; Susie Bidgood, Debbie Howard, Jill Blakey, Pete Collins, Alison Walters, Laura Murphy,

Sarah Dragonetti, Fredrica Craig and Penny Merson.

he artists in the exhibition use colour in a variety of ways to create visual impact, evoke emotion, and tell stories.

Some of the artists use bold, saturated colours to create a sense of energy and excitement, while others use more muted tones to create a more contemplative mood.

There are ceramic collections by Susie Bidgood and Laura Murphy, both distinctively different, both explore abstraction,

made from neutral materials that are then decorated, exhibits range in size from small, intimate pieces to larger, more imposing works.

“Abstract” is a must-see for anyone interested in this genre of art.

The exhibition will be on view from 26 August to 23 September 2023.
