To coincide with the Platinum Jubilee Big Lunch on Sunday June 5th, communities are being encouraged to celebrate their connections. Friends and neighbours can get together and organise a lunch or tea on this day and get to know each other a little bit better.

YOU CAN ORGANISE YOUR OWN STREET MEET

The modern way with ‘street meets’ is for neighbours get together in a garden or on a driveway so the road doesn’t have to be closed to traffic.

It is legal for anyone to hold a street party on Sunday, June 5, 2022. If you’re holding a street meet, you don’t have to tell the council. You can hold a street meet on the pavement, but obviously use common sense to
