St Beornwald’s-tide Concert ‘A Musical Celebration’
Bampton Classical Opera, the annual St Beornwald’s-tide Concert (celebrating Bampton’s own patron saint): ‘A Musical Celebration’.
Saturday 7th December at 7.00pm in St Mary’s Church: A delightful mixed programme including chamber music for piano and wind instruments centred on the Quintet which Mozart considered “the best thing I have yet written in my life”. Also songs and opera arias performed by Kieron-Connor Valentine, prizewinning counter-tenor in Bampton opera’s national Young Singers’ Competition. (And one of the justifications for ‘celebration’ is a significant birthday for BCO’s artistic director and pianist Jeremy Gray!)
