The village is planning a series of events to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on June 2nd – 5th 2022. The outline framework for the programmes of events is as follows.

Thursday 2nd June

SPAJERS ‘JUBILEE’ SHIRT RACE
JUDGING – STARTS IN THE MARKET SQUARE 5.15pm. FIRST RACE 6.00pm

Friday 3rd June

THE PLATINUM JUBILEE DAY
This is the day when lots of national events and TV coverage will be happening.

UNVEILING OF THE JUBILEE CLOCKS ON THE TOWN HALL
by Professor Sir Martin Landray – 6.00pm

A 50’s THEMED VILLAGE DANCE
Bampton Village Hall at 7.30pm
Tickets £10 including Ploughmans Supper * Bar
Dig out your 50’s fashion and come dressed for the occasion

BAMPTON JUBILEE MORRIS DANCING FESTIVAL
ALL DAY

Sunday 5th June

VILLAGE STREET MEETS
This is the official day for the ‘BIG LUNCH’
People can organise individual street meets at lunchtime/afternoon on this day.
